Formula to add numbers in Excel

You can create a simple formula to add in your (Excel) worksheet. Simple formulas always start with an equal sign (=), followed by constants that are numeric values and calculation operators, such as a plus (+), minus (-), asterisk (*), or an ampersand. superimpose (/)

1. On the worksheet (Excel), click the cell in which you want to enter the formula.

2. Type an = (equal sign) followed by the constant and operator (up to 8192 characters) you want to use in the calculation.

Use AutoSum

when you click auto sum Excel automatically enters a formula (that uses the SUM function) to sum numbers.

• When you're done creating the formula For example, if you copy the formula in cell B7 to cell C7, the formula in C7 automatically adjusts to its new location and calculates the number in C3:C6.

• You can also use auto sum with multiple cells at once. For example, you can highlight both cells B7 and C7, and then click AutoSum. and sum both columns at the same time
